Another commitment for the future and innovation of the battery world
We are proud to announce that we have become members of BEPA, the Batteries European Partnership Association.
A major technological revolution is underway in the lithium battery technology. That’s why we think it’s mandatory to be involved in an association like BEPA that works to implement and regularly update the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for batteries. BEPA’s goals also include:
- Striving towards a competitive European industrial battery value chain for stationary applications and e-mobility
- Engaging partnerships and virtuous relationships between stakeholders working in the battery industry
- Creating and strengthening networks
- Supporting the development of EU regulations on battery standards, safety, and sustainability and actively promoting innovation uptake in the market.
This membership is a further step ahead in our company’s involvement, as we are already part of the EBA, the European Battery Alliance launched in October 2017 by the European Commission. EBA has a main challenging goal: establishing a complete domestic battery value chain that is imperative for a clean energy transition and a competitive industry. How? By taking over a new market worth 250B€/year in 2025.
For this reason, EBA has set a special program: the EBA250, a project-driven community that brings together more than 600 industrial and innovation actors, from mining to recycling, with the common objective to build a solid and competitive European battery industry.
